Meet The Team

Ella Donoghue

Nice to meet you, my name is Ella! Since I can’t take you out to dinner first, I’ll just introduce myself here…

I’m from New York, and here I am a junior journalism major, minoring in pre-law. I want my column to be an outlet for myself, something very different from my coursework, where I can be more creative and raw, and an outlet for my readers where we can all have fun and learn together. Like journalism with afterglow! I will admit that I am a chronic oversharer and at times I’m probably too honest, but we’re all friends here. At least, we are now. And I promise there will be plenty of benefits.

Lily Brown

Because I can’t knock on your door online in true RA fashion (believe me, I’ve done plenty of those), I’ll break the ice here. Hi, I’m Lily! I’m a grad student at Emerson College, working toward my Master’s in Journalism and Media Innovation. I just wrapped up my undergrad here, where I studied Journalism and Publishing and fell head-over-heels for culture, entertainment, and lifestyle writing. Over the years, I’ve worn many Emerson hats—Resident Assistant on both coasts (yes, I’ve survived Boston winters and LA traffic), Student Admission Representative, Summer Conferences Coordinator, and of course, Creative Director and Managing Editor of Your Magazine. You can also find some of my editorial work in FLAUNT Magazine and Her Campus Media. I’m hoping this can be an outlet for both you and me—a space where we can laugh about our collective messiness and maybe even learn a few campus resources along the way. Consider this your open-door policy.
