The Little Getaway

Everyone kept saying to me,"Cape Cod during winter? No one goes there during this time of the year." I know. And I guess no one goes there for Valentine's Day either! But I did, and I guess it wasn't the brightest choice to go there for the coldest weekend of the year. One of the privileges was the fact that I had a car because I needed a place to sprint back to for warmth. But I never expected Cape Cod to be this beautiful. The sum of my weekend was basically road tripping from Provincetown all the way through to Falmouth, making random pit-stops at places that caught my eye. I spent most of my time photographing and wandering aimlessly through snow-covered beaches and iced lakes. At night, I simply cozied up next to a fireplace, sipped on warm tea and ate homemade muffins. I had the great opportunity to fully immerse myself in nature because literally there wasn’t a single soul out there.

Cape Cod in the winter isn’t so bad. It is, in fact, the perfect little getaway.
