Your Energy is Valuable

your energy is valuable

Your energy is valuable. It is the key to unlocking a balanced life and the source of your potential. With an untrained mind, our energy can be unconsciously spent on activities and people who are undeserving, leading us to not have enough for ourselves. But, with careful consideration, we can redistribute our power and spend it on things that make us feel strong, confident, and secure. It is time to reclaim all that you deserve -it is time to protect your peace.

Hi there! My name is Leo Lukaszevicz and I’m from Lancaster, Massachusetts. I am a Business of Creative Enterprises Major at Emerson College and have recently been trying to discover new ways to incorporate mindfulness and healthier choices into my fast-paced, hectic, college lifestyle.

I chose to talk about this topic because I think it is important for us to realize that it is okay to take time for yourself. It is okay to incorporate things you love in a week of responsibilities. It is okay to say “NO,” and to set boundaries with people you love. With the constant noise of college life, assignments, organizations, and friends, it can be hard to remember to spend time on yourself. This is a lesson I had to learn myself, and once I did, I felt like I was able to truly enjoy the things I was doing and could put one hundred percent of myself into my relationships and activities.

From affirmations to wellness to goal setting, every Monday on this blog we'll discuss easy ways to reinforce a positive mindset and healthier way of living. These steps are easily attainable and accessible to everyone, once we commit a small amount of time - with no costs involved - as access to improving your health and well-being should be.

You do not have to be a professional to learn to protect your peace. In fact, there isn't a rule book or way to know you've accomplished this goal entirely. The self love experience is personal, intimate, and on your own schedule. Take these suggestions and adapt them to your lifestyle. Everyone is unique, everyone's mind works differently, and some tips may work better for some than for others.

All you have to do is trust in this process. Some days you’ll feel like you've made enormous developments in your progress, and some days you'll feel like you’ve made none at all. Some days you may feel as if you’ve lost the progress you worked so hard to make. However, growth is not linear. It has ups and downs, but we learn from even the lowest moments. Even when you make mistakes, skip a day, or forget a task, you are still learning on the path of growth, and you should forgive yourself.

Starting today, join me on a journey toward reclaiming your peace and protecting your mindfulness. Take your journey at a pace that feels comfortable for you. These steps should feel comfortable and natural, not like yet another responsibility. You’ve got this, and keep up the good work.

I'll see you next week, but in the meantime, be kind to yourself,

Leo
