I’ve been under too much pressure on my search for companionship to lock down a man and get a ring. I believe my relationships have failed due to the pressure I put on myself and my partner.
The soft launch sometimes feels like a vehicle of ego rather than affection, like a brag that you’re seeing someone new, perhaps pointed to old flames who loiter in your story views.
I made my peace with the fact that I wasn’t really a “relationship person” a long time ago.
It’s funny, though, that we laugh when this generation’s social media literacy is also shamefully low—look at Twitter for example.
Although birth control is seen as the normal way that individuals can prevent pregnancy, there are a few others that don’t interfere with the uterine bodily functions.
Even if not in a romantic relationship, there are other connections that we make throughout our lives with people who care for us in ways that still fulfill our need to bond with each other.
Except they didn’t know the truth. I craved acceptance from a place I was not receiving any. Behind the scenes, my heart was broken.
With gloomier weather and spooky season right around the corner, light some candles and write sad poetry. Try dark academia out for yourself.
I’d sit through conversations with straight family members and friends, and the couple seemed to be a source of common ground to any queer relationship that was brought up—my own included.
